Work on research to develop the gel sold today under the Wound-Be-Gone® brand name began in the first half of the 1990s. However, the research at the time would not have been possible without earlier studies done by the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic.

Wound-Be-Gone®

Wound-Be-Gone® is a topical gel created to accelerate wound healing and reduce scarring. It is a unique combination of highly effective “moist healing” and a patented active ingredient. The moist environment supports the movement of cells and maintains a constant temperature in the wound, which is critical for quick healing without unsightly scars. The active ingredient removes free oxygen radicals from the site of the wound and, at the same time, creates an elastic layer that prohibits contact between the wound and its external environment. This prevents the wound from becoming contaminated and speeds the healing process. Wound-Be-Gone® is available in two size tubes: 5g and 30g.
